The principle

How to read this report.

Your body renews itself every day: cells divide, repair DNA damage and respond to stress, nutrition, sleep and the environment. These processes leave traces in DNA methylation. From these patterns the report reads your biological age — not in calendar years, but in the state of your cellular regulation.

Protection

How stably your DNA is protected and how efficiently the repair mechanisms work. Markers: telomeres, LINE-1.

Regulation

How controlled inflammatory processes remain and how resilient the cellular balance is. Marker: IL-6.

Interpretation

How your values compare with a reference group matched for age, sex and ethnicity.

Methyl donors — the common denominator of telomeres and LINE-1

Telomeres 96 % (biologically 53 yrs) and LINE-1 96 % (biologically 50 yrs) are the two values requiring action. Both are regulated via the same nutrients: folate, vitamin B2, B6, B12 and methionine. Six of the thirteen recommendations in this report target exactly that. Specifically: two handfuls of green leafy vegetables daily, raw or briefly steamed. Eggs, cheese or fermented foods daily. 2–3 Brazil nuts. Plus at least 30 g of fibre and 3–4 cups of green tea, not with iron-rich meals.

Stress — the weakest lifestyle factor

At 4 out of 10, stress is the only factor that lies clearly below the reference group. Via the cortisol axis it acts on exactly those markers that require action in your case. The nutrition part is already solid at 72/100 — the greater effect lies here. In addition: everyday activity (6) and exercise (7) have room to grow; 30 minutes daily also supports the IL-6 value.

Maintain, do not change

IL-6 at 108 % and the epigenetic ageing markers at 103 % are within the normal range. The recommendations for these two markers serve maintenance. Tobacco (9/10), fruit and vegetables (8/10) and fluid intake (8/10) support this result — nothing needs to change here.

Follow-up and next step
